No. Werkstatt Provost is not a general repair shop.
We are a restoration house and build specialist focused on:
Full and partial restorations of classic air-cooled Porsches
Carefully spec’d bespoke builds within Porsche’s design and engineering language
Long-term support for cars that we ourselves have restored or built
We are not set up for high-volume, day-to-day maintenance on all Porsches.
Yes, but in a very specific way.
We provide mechanical service, adjustments, and follow-up maintenance only to vehicles restored or built by Werkstatt Provost.
This allows us to:
Maintain quality control
Protect the integrity of our work
Ensure each car continues to perform as intended
We do not offer general walk-in servicing for Porsche vehicles we did not build or restore.
Werkstatt Provost focuses exclusively on air-cooled Porsche models, restored to the highest European standards.
Our core expertise includes:
911 F-Modell (1964–1973)
911 G-Modell (1974–1989)
964 (1989–1994)
993 (1995–1998)
We also selectively take on special Porsche projects such as the 356, 912, and 914, provided they align with our philosophy and craftsmanship standards.
Europe (Belgium HQ)
In Belgium, we perform full restorations, mechanical overhauls, and bespoke builds for all air-cooled 911s up to the 993. Cars are sourced, restored, and tested within our European network.
Philippines (Werkstatt Provost Manila + Petromax Facility)
In the Philippines, our focus is shaped by the Vintage Vehicle Regulation Act (RA 11698), which allows importation only of vehicles 40 years and older.
This covers, among others:
F-Modell
G-Modell up to 1985 (including Carrera 3.2 with 915 gearbox)
Locally, we now also accept select in-country projects, such as our inaugural 964 RG project, conducted at the Petromax facility under our facility partnership.
Yes, but importation is not a retail product we sell as a standalone service.
We generally import vehicles only when:
They will serve as base donor cars for a Werkstatt Provost restoration or build.
An established client (with an existing relationship and/or previous projects) asks us to source a specific car as the basis for a new project.
The car is exceptionally rare or meaningful, and bringing it in clearly fits our long-term vision.
We do not import cars simply to flip or resell them as stock units.
Yes.
Our main workshop is in Belgium, and many cars are still fully restored there. At the same time, we are now physically active in the Philippines, operating from the Petromax facility for selected local projects.
This dual structure allows:
European-built restorations to be imported into the Philippines
Philippine-based projects (like the 964 RG) to be handled locally with European guidance and standards
Clients in either region to engage with us depending on their location and project goals
We rely on a multi-layered supply ecosystem, giving us access to OEM and high-quality aftermarket components.
1. European Network (Belgium HQ)
With over 30 years of experience, we maintain direct relationships with:
European dismantlers
Porsche specialists
OEM and heritage suppliers
Classic racing partners
Old-stock collections and private inventories
2. Philippine Division – ProvostParts
In the Philippines, Werkstatt Provost operates its own distribution arm, ProvostParts, which acts as local distributor for:
JP Group / Dansk (classic Porsche components)
TracTive Suspension (Netherlands)
Additional high-end European suppliers being integrated from 2025 onwards
This allows us to source many critical parts internally, reducing dependency on third parties and improving lead times.
3. Fabrication & Restoration
For discontinued or unobtainable pieces, we turn to:
Certified metal fabrication
Restoration and refurbishment of original components
Precision machining
Custom reproduction where historically appropriate
If an authentic part still exists, we do everything possible to find it. If it truly doesn’t, we rebuild or fabricate a solution that respects the car’s authenticity.
All vehicle and parts movements are handled in full compliance with Belgian and Philippine regulations.
Belgium → Europe
Standard EU cross-border sourcing from France, Germany, Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
Belgium → Philippines
We follow:
RA 11698 (Vintage Vehicle Regulation Act)
Bureau of Customs rules and procedures
Proper valuation, documentation, and duties
Legal import channels only (no grey-market shortcuts)
We work with experienced customs brokers, logistics partners, and legal advisers to make the process as seamless and transparent as possible.
Most serious restoration projects fall within the 6 to 18-month range.
The timing depends on:
The condition and completeness of the donor car
The extent of metalwork and structural repair
Engine and transmission work required
Parts availability (especially rare or NLA components)
The level of customization and detailing requested by the client
Whether the project is executed in Europe or partially in the Philippines
Very complex or highly bespoke builds can go beyond this range, but for planning purposes, 6–18 months is a realistic expectation.
There is no honest way to give a single “price” for a restoration, because every project is built around different variables, such as:
Where the donor car is sourced (Europe, local market, etc.)
The donor car’s initial condition (solid driver vs. rust-damaged shell)
The scope of work (mechanical refresh vs. full bare-metal restoration)
The specification (period-correct, mild upgrades, more ambitious bespoke build)
The location of work (primarily Belgium, or involving our Philippine operations)
Because of these factors, we do not publish fixed price brackets on the website.
Instead, we:
Discuss the client’s goals and preferred model.
Assess possible donor cars and restoration scope.
Provide an initial project-specific budget range.
Yes, but always within the boundaries of our philosophy.
We welcome tasteful, period-respectful customization, such as:
Engine upgrades within the correct Porsche lineage
Improved suspension systems (e.g. TracTive)
Performance exhaust solutions (e.g. Dansk, SSI)
Correct leather, Pepita, or other heritage interior fabrics
RS-inspired or period-inspired styling where appropriate
We avoid:
Widebody conversions that have no basis in Porsche’s own design language
Radical body kits or overly aggressive styling
Builds that break the mechanical or aesthetic DNA of the 911
Our goal is refinement and purity — the car should feel like something Porsche could have built.
Our background includes collaborations with respected drivers such as:
Jean-Marc Gaban (2× Belgian Rally Champion)
Christian Guillemin (964 NGT Rallye)
We previously prepared and maintained race cars for events at circuits such as Spa-Francorchamps.
While our current focus is on restoration and bespoke road-going builds, our motorsport experience continues to inform how we set up and tune our cars. Future competition projects are not excluded, but they are approached selectively.
Yes.
Warranty coverage depends on factors such as:
The scope of work performed
Whether parts are new OEM, quality aftermarket, or refurbished
The nature of the restoration or build
We clearly document what has been done to the car and under what conditions it is delivered. Our reputation is built on work that stands up over time, and our warranty policies are designed to reflect that.
You can reach us through:
The contact form on this website
From there, we typically move to a structured conversation about:
The model you’re interested in
Your preferred approach (restoration vs. bespoke build)
Whether you already own a car or need us to source one
Your intended use (collection, occasional drive, grand touring, etc.)
Consultations can be held remotely, or in person in Belgium or Manila, depending on what makes the most sense for the project.
